At CAS – Clínica Animal do Sul, we believe every patient is unique and deserves exceptional care. Founded in 2011 by Dr. Serpa Santos, the clinic entered a new chapter in 2021 under the clinical direction of Dr. Ana Sofia Palma, bringing together a passionate, dedicated, and highly qualified team.

We combine advanced technical knowledge with genuine compassion for animals, ensuring accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and fully personalized follow-up care.

In 2026, we renewed our visual identity while preserving the essence of CAS, already recognized as a reference in veterinary medicine. We continue to grow sustainably, always focused on clinical excellence, close relationships with pet owners, and the well-being of all animals in our care.

With over 20 years of experience in grooming, Tom is a leading figure in the Algarve. He has mastered clipping, bathing and aesthetic care techniques, always focusing on animal welfare. Calm and very attentive, he makes grooming a peaceful experience. He adapts his pace to each personality, ensuring comfort even for the most nervous or insecure animals. Even cats — demanding and not always cooperative — end up trusting him thanks to his calm approach. At CAS, he is the one who takes care of the style, hygiene and comfort of our furry friends with dedication and affection.

Part of the team since 2025, Filipe is the only man on the team and a specialist in anaesthesiology, internal medicine, and intensive care. Always attentive and friendly, he combines clinical rigour with a passion for plants and agriculture, which is part of his life. His faithful companion is his dog Churro, who accompanies him on his daily adventures.

As Clinical Director at CAS, Dr. Ana leads the team with dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail. She divides her time between managing the clinic and providing attentive care to patients, ensuring the high standards that define us. With a special interest in dermatology, surgery, and general and feline internal medicine, she combines technical expertise with a close and personalized approach. Passionate about travel and gastronomy, at home she is accompanied by her Sphynx cats, Gillette (Gi), and our beloved “concierge” Quim Avelino, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Nadia is the newest addition to the CAS team, bringing 10 years of solid experience at INEM, combining clinical expertise with a genuine passion for animals. Attentive and dedicated, she specializes in imaging, internal medicine, and minimally invasive surgery, providing precise and comprehensive care for every patient. Outside the clinic, she is passionate about physical exercise and motorcycling. At home, she shares her life with her two dogs, Ten and Lua, whose joy reflects the care and dedication she brings every day to the animals.

Oriana brings care and attention to every task and is greatly appreciated by our patients. She manages logistics, discharges, and internal client communications, including all the “extras” that owners receive during their pets’ stay. She cares for animals with dedication and affection, from hygiene to cuddles. Her passion is baking! At home, she has numerous pets—dogs, cats, and chickens—who reflect her commitment and love for animals.

With CAS since 2021, Daniela excels at multitasking and organization. Quick and efficient, she coordinates schedules, treatments, surgeries, and physiotherapy. She also provides a pet-sitting service that delights our clients. Her faithful companion is her energetic and joyful dog Olímpia, reflecting the care Daniela provides to all her patients.

An airsoft geek, she brings energy and passion to daily work. Her companions are her Farense dog and her cat Marvin, who reflect her care and dedication in every aspect of her work with animals.
